Why You Shouldn't Stop Writing

What is that unsettling sensation you feel when you put pen to paper, finger to keyboard, pic to post?

It's the dread that nobody, not even the people closest to you will care.

And maybe they won’t. In fact, it's highly likely.

We write not for validation or to mold consensus but ultimately for ourselves.

One covenant I made with myself long ago was to never allow fear to quell the tempest of thoughts, feelings, and need to express brewing within.

But with that declaration comes great responsibility.

You're making a promise to yourself to continue putting your self out there despite the likelihood of rebuke, or total indifference.

It's for you.

If what you have to say resonates with another soul it's just a nice, but fleeting byproduct.
