The French Art of Not Giving a Sh*t

I want to preface this recommendation by admitting to not being nearly as wary of books with kitschy titles as I should be. Especially when they're parked upfront with the rest of the New York Times bestsellers.

But the latest from Fabrice Midal is funny, poignant, and actually far more enlightening than the title reveals.

In roughly 130 pages Midal irreverently but honestly talks about how we torment ourselves by conforming, fail to question why we do what we do, and in the process forget how to truly live.

Through thoughtful anecdotes and honest insights he nudges readers to accept themselves whole-heartedly, warts and all.

But mostly, his book is a call to protect the freedom of our minds at all costs.
